Level Up Civics Foundation takes privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled.
When an educator registers a team or submits a project entry through our Google Form, we collect:
We use this information to administer the Battle of the Counties competition: to identify participating schools and teams, to route entries to judges, and to coordinate county finals and the statewide championship.
Submitted information is accessible to Level Up Civics Foundation staff, competition judges, and the county offices of education coordinating your county's program. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Registration and submission data is retained through the end of the competition year (the current program year concludes after the January 2027 Statewide Championship). After the program year, identifying student information is deleted. Aggregate and anonymized program data may be retained for reporting purposes.
Level Up Civics does not collect information directly from students. All team information is submitted by the school's advisor. Parent/guardian permissions and media releases stay on file with the school, district, or county office of education. The submitting advisor attests that the required permissions are complete before entering a team.
Our registration form is hosted on Google Forms. Submitted data is stored in Google Workspace. Video files may be hosted on YouTube, Google Drive, or another platform chosen by the submitting school. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
For questions about this privacy statement or how your information is handled, contact us at info@levelupcivicsfoundation.org.
