Schools Reinventing Counties works because county education offices, sponsors, and civic leaders commit to making it real. The worlds come built. The stakes are genuine. The results are real.
Orange County is the founding county partner, the first county in California to run a program like this. San Bernardino, Riverside, and Yolo counties joined for 2026–27, with additional counties expected as the program grows. Lifeboat Studios builds every county world.

County offices of education are the cornerstone partners. When a county commits, the world gets built, and every school in that region gets access to a civics and esports program built around their actual county: its geography, community, and local challenges.
Sponsorship runs from county level to the statewide championship. Your name goes on program materials and events in the counties where you do business, attached to student work that communities and their leaders actually see.
Each county world is a one-time build, used by students and teachers for years. Grant funding underwrites the world builds that make place-based learning possible at county scale.
City and county government partners bring a genuine community problem and a commitment to show up and hear what students propose. Students research, design, and pitch their solutions to the leaders who can actually act on them.
Partnering with Schools Reinventing Counties is not a one-time transaction. Each organization contributes what the others can't, and the results reflect that.
Your name on program materials, events, and media, attached to student work that county leaders and their communities actually pay attention to.
Documented student outcomes you can cite in grant reports, board presentations, and annual impact statements. The program produces the kind of evidence funders ask for.
A working relationship with county education leadership, superintendents, and the civic networks in the communities where you operate.
Partnership conversations start with one question: what do you want to see improve in your county? If Schools Reinventing Counties can help make that happen, we want to hear from you.
